Farewell to Molly

Today was Molly's last day in Team Kiwi! She is off with her family for a big holiday in China and then they are going to live in the North Island! We wish her well and we will miss her!

Social study displays

On Tuesday we went to Room Six to look at their social study boards they had completed for the social study fair. They were on all different subjects from the history of Edendale to tunnellers in WW2. We asked lots of questions. They were amazing!

Maui and the Sun

Over the last two days we have been reading the Maori legend about Maui and the sun. We are now doing a pastel and dye picture to go with the stories we wrote about how Maui caught the sun to slow it down. We had to do a lot of practice drawing koru patterns before we started. We think they'll look amazing when they are finished! 

Maths afternoon

This afternoon we played some new math games that will help our basic facts. We really liked the fly swat game and the 'what makes ten' knife and fork game!
